The SoA offers approximately 15 graduate assistantships annually, providing opportunities for students to work with and support faculty in the areas of teaching and research.
The BA in Dance Education with courses in place since 1978, is one of the two first programs licensing teachers in dance education in the North Carolina.

The Department’s Symphonic Wind Ensemble has grown to be one of the finest college bands in the Southeast.
