Research at the Digital Design Center strives to connect new technologies with existing methods and conventions in practice and academia.
Interactive Architecture studies methods by which computers can be embedded into physical environments at all scales from individual objects to cities.
Visualization focuses on the presentation of information in visual forms that optimize desicion making ability. Our fields of interest cross boundaries within the arts and sciences. We actively seek out new partnerships in architectural practice, in academic research, and with civic & cultural organizations.
For each research project, a team of professors, staff and advanced
students is assembled to match the necessary skills and methods and to
collaborate with our clients. This research takes full advantage of the
advanced computing, software and digital fabrication facilities at the
CoAA. |
