> Sustainable Technology Integration
The School wishes to expand its longstanding commitment to architectural design excellence and sustainable building technologies.  The faculty seek candidates who are able to conduct research and teach advanced courses in building systems integration, advanced design science electives related to building diagnostics, simulation and performance, and design studios.  This position is intended to add depth to our research collaborations, strengthened by the successful candidates' demonstration of established leadership in design science research.  The candidate will be expected to participate in the School’s center for Integrated Building Design Research (cIBDR) and one or more university-wide interdisciplinary programs, including the IDEAS Center (Infrastructure, Design, Environment, and Sustainability) and the Energy Production and Infrastructure Center (EPIC).  The successful candidate must demonstrate their ability to effectively integrate evidence-based inquiry into the discipline of architectural design education, research and practice.

> Digital Design Integration
The School wishes to build upon its growing commitment to architectural design excellence, emerging techniques and digital design.  The faculty seek candidates who are able to provide leadership in advancing discourses on making, particularly as they relate to the integration of computation and design in both teaching and research. The candidate will join the collaborative work of the Digital Design Center (DDC), currently focused on the areas of digital fabrication and craft, interactive architecture, and visualization.  Emphasis will be in further developing a clear foundation in digital methods and software application in the early years of the undergraduate and graduate programs.  Potential areas of expertise include simulation, modeling, digital fabrication, interface design, and/or generative/parametric design.  The candidate will teach both undergraduate and graduate design studios, in addition to advanced seminars and lab-based courses in computation and fabrication.
